Maintenance and Repair Works Begin on Sanitation Lines in Khan Younis City
CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality and with support from UNICEF, began carrying out maintenance and repair works on sanitation networks in several areas of Khan Younis city, as part of efforts aimed at repairing the city's sanitation system, particularly after the significant damage sustained by infrastructure as a result of military operations and Israeli bombardment.
The maintenance works began today in the Abu Musa area, with the repairs including replacing damaged pipes, strengthening the network's capacity, and removing the health hazards spread within the neighborhood, aiming to improve the efficiency of sewage drainage and reduce the environmental and health damage facing residents.
These efforts are part of ongoing plans to improve the services provided to citizens, and ease the burdens caused by the Israeli war.
It is worth noting that these works are part of a series of projects aimed at improving the sanitation network infrastructure in Khan Younis, in partnership with international institutions.
