Al-Zohour Neighborhood Reservoir in Rafah City Begins Operation

Al-Zohour neighborhood reservoir in Rafah city came into operational service in July 2019 with a storage capacity of 4,000 cubic meters, with the project serving about 50,000 people in the eastern and central areas of Rafah city, with the project's total cost reaching $4.5 million, including the reservoir, the pumping station, all the construction and electromechanical works, and the main pipelines and connections, funded by USAID and supervised by the consulting office AECOM, the Palestinian Water Authority, and CMWU. It is worth noting that the project's construction period took a year and a half.
