Continuing Work on the Development Project for Ibn Taymiyyah Desalination Plant in Al-Brazil Neighborhood, Rafah
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU, funded by and in partnership with Human Appeal – Britain, continues work on the project to develop Ibn Taymiyyah desalination plant in Al-Brazil neighborhood in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that the project consists of two phases, with Phase One including drilling a water well with a capacity of 80 cubic meters per hour to supply the plant with water, in addition to all the necessary electromechanical works, and Phase Two including developing and increasing the plant's production capacity, enabling it to serve 60,000 residents, and securing their needs of desalinated water, particularly amid the difficult conditions experienced by the Strip's residents.
This project will continue for about a year and a half, divided into two phases, in order to be able to serve a larger number of the area's residents, by installing water transmission lines to deliver the water produced, as well as connecting the transmission lines to the water distribution network in Rafah city.
