
The Water Authority and CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, repaired the Mekorot line feeding Gaza after seven days of work, restoring water pumping to Al-Rimal, Al-Sabra, Al-Daraj, and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods.
The Palestinian Water Authority, CMWU, and Gaza Municipality, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, repaired the Mekorot water line feeding Gaza City.
The technical teams worked around the clock for seven days to repair the damage sustained by the line at two different locations as a result of military operations east of the city.
After completing the repair, water pumping to the city resumed on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with water reaching the main neighborhoods of Gaza City, such as Al-Rimal neighborhood, Al-Sabra neighborhood, Al-Daraj neighborhood, Al-Tuffah neighborhood, the Old City, in addition to parts of Al-Zeitoun neighborhood.
