Repair of the N22 Water Well in Abasan Al-Kabira and Its Restoration to Service

CMWU, funded by the Red Cross, repaired the N22 well in Abasan Al-Kabira (50 cubic meters per hour) and restored it to service.

As a continuation of its efforts aimed at restoring the water pumping system in Khan Younis Governorate, particularly after the ground operation within the governorate and the significant destruction that affected water and sanitation facilities and networks, CMWU, in cooperation with Abasan Al-Kabira Municipality and in partnership with and funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, repaired the N22 water well in Abasan Al-Kabira, in order to restore it to service, with a new submersible pump installed with a capacity of 30 horsepower and a production capacity of 50 cubic meters/hour, to strengthen the water situation in the town, and work is underway to maintain the Al-Ma'sara desalination plant in the town to supply citizens with desalinated drinking water.
