Construction of a Sand Barrier to Protect Al-Rantisi Hospital from Rainwater Flooding

CMWU constructed a sand barrier to protect Al-Rantisi Hospital in Gaza and a nearby school from rainwater flooding.

As part of preparations for the storm, CMWU constructed a sand barrier to protect Al-Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City from the risk of rainwater flooding, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen safety measures at vital facilities.

Field crews also began constructing an additional earthen barrier to protect the school adjacent to the hospital, particularly given the widespread destruction sustained by the area as a result of Israeli bombardment.

It is worth noting that infrastructure and rainwater drainage systems have sustained severe damage as a result of military operations and Israeli bombardment, which has contributed to worsening the risks of water accumulation and flash flooding.
