Completion of the rainwater drainage project in Al-Wafaa area in Khan Younis at a value of $1.5 million, funded by Kuwait through UNICEF.
CMWU, funded by the State of Kuwait through UNICEF and in cooperation with the Water Authority and Khan Younis Municipality, succeeded in completing the rainwater drainage project in Al-Wafaa area in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, which is considered one of the lowest-lying areas, with rainwater arriving to it from all parts of the governorate.
This project had a great impact in ending the suffering of the area's residents from the risks of rainwater flooding on residents' homes during the rainy season, particularly during the recent weather depression, as the area has suffered from this problem for decades, with the project's value amounting to $1.5 million.
