CMWU, in cooperation with Abasan Al-Kabira Municipality and the electricity distribution company, began implementing a project to secure a permanent power line for Al-Sanati water reservoir in Abasan Al-Kabira town, Khan Younis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
This project aims to secure electric power for the reservoir to ensure its operation for the greatest possible number of hours, in order to improve the water service in the areas fed with water by the reservoir, as that reservoir serves numerous residents in Abasan Al-Kabira, numbering about 15,000 people, and it also works to feed all areas of the town in the event of an emergency at Abu Tu'ma water reservoir.
