Beginning Implementation of a Wells and Water Sources Maintenance Project in Various Areas of the Gaza Strip

Gaza – CMWU

CMWU began overseeing the implementation of a project to maintain water wells and sources in various areas of the Gaza Strip, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross and in cooperation with the various municipalities of the Gaza Strip, with this project including carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation for numerous water wells in various governorates, particularly those out of service.

It is worth noting that this project aims primarily to contribute to strengthening the capacity of CMWU and the municipalities to provide their services to residents, particularly amid the difficult conditions and weak capabilities faced by water service providers in the Gaza Strip, in addition to improving water services particularly with the onset of the summer season and the increased need for water consumption.
