Beginning Implementation of the Sanitation Network Project in Al-Seifa Area, Beit Lahia
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU, funded by the State of Japan through Save the Children and in cooperation with Beit Lahia Municipality, began implementing a sanitation network project in Al-Seifa area in Beit Lahia city, north of the Gaza Strip, aiming to eliminate "Al-Seifa" sewage pumping station, which was bombed during the recent war on the Gaza Strip, and convert it into a gravity system, to dispose of the sewage water coming from the neighborhoods served by Al-Seifa station, instead of the pumping system.
This project also aims to eliminate the health hazards that harm the health and environment of residents and protect the groundwater aquifer, and this project serves about 22,000 people, with the project's total value amounting to $450,000.
