CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, has begun implementing a sewage network replacement project in Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, at a total cost of $150,000, funded by Anera.

The project includes laying main lines 2,000 meters long, and installing subsidiary connections for residents' homes on the network, and filling in all the absorption pits, with the project aiming to eliminate the resulting health hazards, which negatively affect the groundwater aquifer, and this project serves about 5,000 residents.
