Beginning Implementation of the Rainwater Collection Network Construction Project in Al-Orouba Neighborhood in Al-Fukhari

CMWU, funded by Anera and in cooperation with Al-Fukhari Municipality, began constructing a rainwater collection network in Al-Orouba neighborhood in Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, where the project will collect rainwater from the neighborhood to connect it to the existing network, aiming to filter it into the existing rainwater filtration basin. The project includes extending a 250-meter gravity line with rainwater catch basins.
This comes as a continuation of the efforts aimed at improving services in Al-Orouba neighborhood, as CMWU had previously constructed a sanitation system for the neighborhood's residents, and eliminated the cesspits that had become a great danger to the environment and residents' health, ending residents' years-long suffering.
CMWU also thanks Anera for its continuous support, in funding numerous water and sanitation projects in various parts of the Gaza Strip, which have had a great impact in improving water and sanitation services for the residents of the Gaza Strip.
