CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, began implementing a project to extend sanitation lines in Jourat Al-Lut neighborhood, located south of the city, funded by Action Against Hunger at a cost of €200,000.

The project aims to ease residents' suffering and improve the sanitation services provided to residents, as well as help find appropriate solutions to the sanitation problem and eliminate cesspits, which negatively affect the environment and residents' health.

The project includes extending a main line 3,500 meters long and installing 100 manholes of various diameters, filling in all cesspits, and installing branch connections for residents' homes to the network, 1,400 meters long.
