Beginning the Implementation of a Rainwater Drainage Project in Al-Mahatta Neighborhood, to Repair and Maintain the Line Damaged by the Recent Israeli Aggression in May 2021

CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality and funded by Action Against Hunger (ACF), began implementing a rainwater drainage project in Al-Mahatta neighborhood in Khan Younis, to repair and maintain the line damaged by the recent Israeli aggression in May 2021, which had worsened the rainwater drainage problem in the neighborhood.

The project includes constructing an underground concrete line 80cm in diameter and 70 meters long, in addition to maintaining and equipping the 2-meter-diameter rainwater line, 120 meters long, as well as installing main manholes and rainwater drains on all roads that were targeted by occupation aircraft in the aforementioned neighborhood, including Street No. 5, Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, Al-Mars Street, and the railway, in addition to paving all the damaged sections in the aforementioned areas.
