Completion of installing the outfall line for the Southern desalination plant, raising its production capacity to 20,000 m3 daily, funded by the European Union through UNICEF.
As part of completing the construction works for increasing the production capacity of the seawater desalination plant south of the Gaza Strip, the installation of the outfall line to the sea, 710mm in diameter and 150 meters long inside the sea, has been completed, in order to bring the plant's production capacity to 20,000 cubic meters per day, and become capable of serving residents in wide areas of Khan Younis and Rafah cities, numbering about 250,000 people, funded by the European Union through UNICEF, in cooperation with CMWU and the Palestinian Water Authority, under the supervision of the international engineering and consulting group "Ma'alem", and implemented by local contractor (Mas'oud and Ali Company).
