Completion of the Sanitation Network Construction Project in Various Areas of the Gaza Strip
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU implemented a project to construct and rehabilitate sanitation networks in various areas of the Gaza Strip, in partnership with UNICEF and in cooperation with the municipalities within whose jurisdiction the targeted areas fall. The project included constructing a sanitation network and household connections in the Abu Mu'alla area in Nuseirat and next to the cemetery area in Al-Bureij, central Gaza Strip, in addition to rehabilitating and developing the sanitation network on Amman Street in Al-Remal Al-Janoubi and the Public Security area in Gaza city, aiming to improve the sanitation service provided to the residents of those areas, and to prevent health hazards that negatively affect the environment and residents' health.
This comes funded by the UN Central Emergency Response Fund through UNICEF, and the project serves about 20,000 people at a total cost of about $460,000.
