Completion of the Rainwater Collection Network Construction Project in Al-Orouba Neighborhood in Al-Fukhari

CMWU, funded by Anera and in cooperation with Al-Fukhari Municipality, completed the project to construct a rainwater collection network in Al-Orouba neighborhood in Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to collect rainwater from the neighborhood and connect it to the existing network, in order to filter it into the existing rainwater filtration basin, to protect the residents of Al-Orouba neighborhood from the risks of rainwater flooding during the rainy weather depressions of the winter season. The project includes extending a 250-meter gravity line with rainwater catch basins.
It is worth noting that CMWU had previously constructed a sanitation system for Al-Orouba neighborhood and eliminated the cesspits that the neighborhood's residents relied on to drain sewage water, ending their years-long suffering, as those pits posed a great danger to the environment and residents.
CMWU also thanks Anera for its continuous support, in funding numerous water and sanitation projects in various parts of the Gaza Strip, which have had a great impact in improving water and sanitation services for the residents of the Gaza Strip.
