Completion of a Rainwater Transmission Line Construction Project in Beit Hanoun
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU completed the project to construct a rainwater transmission line, 1km long, from in front of Beit Hanoun Hospital reaching the Beit Hanoun Valley watercourse, in order to prevent flooding in the area and protect residents, their property, and the facilities of Beit Hanoun town from the risks of rainwater flooding during the winter season, particularly Beit Hanoun Hospital and the residents of the low-lying areas on Al-Ba'li and Al-Ajouz streets. The project's value is $295,000, funded by Anera, and in cooperation with Beit Hanoun Municipality.
This project comes as part of a package of projects implemented by CMWU to reduce the risks of rainwater flooding and as part of strengthening readiness for the coming rainy season.
