CMWU has completed the works of the conveyance line construction project for the small-scale seawater desalination plant south of Deir al-Balah, 17 kilometers long, with the project finally received from the contracting company, with the conveyance line extending from the desalination plant to the western areas of Khan Younis and Rafah governorates. The plant is expected to produce 6 thousand cubic meters of desalinated water, half of which will be pumped to the ... reservoir in Khan Younis and the other half to the Tal Al-Sultan reservoir in Rafah, where the desalinated water will be blended with groundwater aquifer water in both reservoirs and then pumped into the networks, with the number of beneficiaries of the project estimated at about 75 thousand residents.
