Completion of Restoring the Water and Sanitation System at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis City to Operation

Funded by UNICEF and in partnership with the Ministry of Health, CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, completed restoring the water and sanitation system at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, to operation.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation partially destroyed the hospital and put it out of operation during the ground operation on the governorate, and after the Israeli withdrawal from Khan Younis in March 2024, CMWU began supporting the Ministry of Health in restoring the water and sanitation system to operation, by establishing and equipping emergency cesspits and operating the desalination plant and installing a desalinated water line linking the existing well to the hospital buildings, and in parallel, CMWU is operating the sewage pumping stations in Khan Younis city.
