Job Announcement (Mechanical Technical Assistant)

Position: Mechanical Technical Assistant (3 positions).
Workplace: Treatment Plant East of Al-Bureij.

Main Job Duties:

  1. Assisting in operating all mechanical equipment at the station.
  2. Assisting in periodic maintenance and repair works, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, blowers, motors, boilers, valves, pipes, etc., under the supervision of the direct manager, according to the manufacturer's/supplier's manual and the operation and maintenance manuals.
  3. Assisting in diagnosing mechanical problems and malfunctions.
  4. Assisting in inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and installing spare parts using the appropriate equipment and tools.
  5. Assisting in verifying the correct and safe operation of mechanical tools and equipment.
  6. Assisting in corrective maintenance works and routine diagnosis of mechanical parts, devices, and equipment.
  7. Assisting in preventive maintenance works for pumping stations, equipment, and facilities, including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, lubrication, and protective coatings.
  8. Assisting in repairs such as installing pipes and connections as specified by the direct manager.
  9. Filling out operation and maintenance cards for each piece of equipment, and evaluating and recording observations and works whenever needed.
  10. Maintaining tools and equipment and verifying the workplace's cleanliness after finishing work.

Job Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Mechanics.
  2. No less than two years of experience in mechanical maintenance work.
  3. Good knowledge of mechanical machinery and equipment, scrapers, mixers, compressors, pumps, air compressors, etc.
  4. Experience in welding and metalworking.
  5. Ability to write and converse in English at an intermediate level preferred.
  6. Ability to use MS Office programs at an intermediate level preferred.
