CMWU lent sewage vacuum trucks to Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah Municipalities to address sewage overflow.
Amid the significant displacement to both Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah, and to ease the sewage overflow problem, CMWU lent vacuum trucks, to strengthen operational capacities regarding pumping out sewage and unblocking blockages in networks and removing the health hazards resulting from sewage leaking into streets and neighborhoods, with a sewage vacuum truck lent to Khan Younis Municipality and another to Deir al-Balah Municipality, to be used by the municipalities of Khan Younis and the Central Governorate. It is worth noting that the water utility received these trucks in March 2024 from the Emirati Red Crescent.
