Restarting out-of-service wells in Khan Younis through emergency maintenance of the pumping systems at Al-Baraka and Al-Ahrash wells, as part of the Red Cross project.
CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, carried out an emergency intervention to restore a number of out-of-service wells to operation, through the project to maintain and rehabilitate water wells funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, aiming to improve the water service provided to residents of the areas served by those wells, particularly with the onset of the summer season and increased water consumption by residents, with the works including carrying out maintenance on the pumping system of Al-Baraka water well, in addition to maintaining the motor of Al-Ahrash water well, in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip.
