CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, began rehabilitating the Shablaq well in Al-Zahra and assessing the F203 and G56 wells ahead of restoring them to operation.
CMWU, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross, began implementing a project to rehabilitate the Shablaq well in Al-Zahra city, alongside rubble removal works and a technical assessment of the (F203) well in the Al-Mughraqa area and the (G56) well in Nuseirat camp, ahead of their electromechanical rehabilitation, in cooperation with the municipalities within whose jurisdiction the wells are located.
The project includes removing debris and rubble from around the damaged wells, and conducting a comprehensive technical assessment of the electromechanical components, including pumps, control panels, and electrical connections, to determine the scale of the damage and identify the requirements for resuming operation.
The project aims to restore the operation of some water sources in Al-Zahra city and the Al-Mughraqa area, which were completely destroyed, contributing to delivering water to the emerging camps in the area and serving citizens returning to reside on their land, and improving the water situation amid current conditions.
CMWU affirms the continuation of its efforts, in partnership with supporting parties, to restore water services and ensure the provision of residents' basic needs.
