CMWU Supplies Hamad Qatari Hospital with Desalinated and Domestic-Use Water
As the Rafah area has become one of the most crowded areas, both of the city's residents and displaced persons, with the city's population reaching nearly 1.2 million people, CMWU continues to supply residents with desalinated water for human use. Since west Rafah is the largest area receiving displaced persons and includes the largest shelter center in Rafah, in and around Hamad Qatari Hospital, CMWU installed 15 m3 plastic tanks that are filled daily with water. In addition, a private agricultural well was operated and connected to the overhead water tanks of Hamad Qatari Hospital to supply residents with water.
