Supplying Municipalities in Central and Southern Gaza with Heavy Machinery to Repair Water and Sanitation Networks

CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, supplied municipalities in central and southern Gaza with heavy machinery to repair water and sanitation networks.

As a continuation of its efforts to repair the damage to water and sanitation networks in the areas of southern and central Gaza Strip, CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, is strengthening and supporting the efforts of the municipalities of the central and southern governorates of the Gaza Strip by supplying them with the heavy machinery needed to complete maintenance works on water and sanitation networks in various areas of the central and southern Strip, through machinery rental contracts and others.

These interventions aim to solve the problems of sewage overflow and water supply shortages in the target areas, with recent interventions including carrying out repair and maintenance works on a number of water and sanitation networks in Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, and Al-Bureij.
