CMWU, funded by Oxfam, developed the water distribution network in Hamad City west of Khan Younis after widespread destruction.

As a continuation of its efforts aimed at repairing water and sanitation networks and facilities in Khan Younis Governorate, CMWU began carrying out development and maintenance works on the water distribution network in Hamad City west of Khan Younis, with this intervention coming in field coordination with the Water Authority, funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality.

This project aims to improve the water service provided to the city's residents by repairing, improving, and developing the distribution network, particularly after the significant destruction it sustained during the recent Israeli military operation on the governorate, which resulted in widespread infrastructure destruction.
