CMWU handed over the site for the rehabilitation project of its main warehouses west of Khan Younis to the contractor, funded by the Red Cross.

CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, handed over the site of the project to rehabilitate and repair the water utility's main warehouses west of Khan Younis to the contractor implementing the project, the Eastern Palestine Company, ahead of beginning implementation of the project, in the presence of CMWU Deputy Executive Director Eng. Omar Shatat, Eng. Moataz Abu Al-Qumboz, Director of the Projects Design Department, and Eng. Husam Al-Hout, Head of the Projects Supervision Section.

This project aims to repair the warehouses and restore them to service, particularly after they sustained significant destruction as a result of Israeli bombardment.

It is worth noting that CMWU's warehouses were bombed during the Israeli incursion into Khan Younis Governorate, in addition to being subjected to theft, causing an acute shortage of the materials needed for maintenance work amid the continuing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
