Installing a 300 KVA Generator to Restart the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Rafah

CMWU installed a 300 KVA generator at the Rafah sanitation treatment plant, halting an overflow toward the Egyptian border.

As part of the continuous efforts being implemented by CMWU in the Rafah area, the water utility's crews installed an electric power generator with a capacity of 300 KVA, replacing the malfunctioning generator, in order to successfully restart the treatment and pumping system at the wastewater treatment plant in Rafah and halt the overflow of wastewater toward the Palestinian-Egyptian border, which will secure the environmental and health conditions in the surrounding area, which has become filled with displaced persons' tents.
