CMWU's crews deal with the repercussions of the weather depression in the Strip's governorates by cleaning filters and pumping out collected rainwater.
Since the beginning of the weather depression, CMWU's technical crews have moved to take their positions and respond to the signals received by the emergency committee with high responsiveness in all the Strip's governorates, especially the southern governorates of the Gaza Strip, where the intensity of rainfall caused some areas to flood despite the procedures and measures taken before the arrival of the weather depression to ease its effects.
Among the most important works are cleaning rainwater filters to maintain smooth traffic flow in numerous areas and distributing spare parts necessary for rainwater pumps. Work is still underway in Rafah governorate to pump water out of the rainwater collection basin in Al-Jineina neighborhood, Jemeza Al-Sabeel, and Obeida Street, as well as pumping water from Salah Al-Din Street. In addition, the sewage and rainwater pumps are operating around the clock.
