CMWU, funded by the Norwegian Refugee Council, is extending rainwater drainage lines in Al-Bureij, Beit Hanoun, Gaza, and Beit Lahia.
CMWU – Extending and Rehabilitating Rainwater Drainage Lines in Various Areas of the Gaza Strip
CMWU continues the works to extend a rainwater drainage line on Mus'ab bin Umair Street in the Abu Midyan area of Al-Bureij camp, central Gaza Strip, 60cm in diameter and 260 linear meters long, aiming to solve the rainwater drainage problem in the area, which is considered one of the most important hotspots during the winter season. This comes as part of the project to construct rainwater networks in various areas of the Gaza Strip, funded by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
It is worth noting that this project also includes rehabilitating a rainwater line in the Hammouda Roundabout area in Beit Hanoun, to solve the rainwater flooding problem in that area, a rainwater drainage line in the Alyan Al-Sheikh area in Gaza city, and constructing a rainwater line in the Awni Al-Harthani School area in Beit Lahia city, north of the Gaza Strip, aiming to strengthen the rainwater drainage system in those areas and protect residents and their property from the risks of rainwater flooding.
