CMWU, funded by the European Union's Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) through Action Against Hunger, began rehabilitating "Al-Jineina" sewage pumping station in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to strengthen its ability to operate during peak hours, particularly with the onset of the winter season, with the project including the rehabilitation of all the station's pumps.
It is worth noting that Al-Jineina neighborhood station is the only main station in the eastern area of Rafah, and serves residents in the Al-Brazil, Al-Salam neighborhood, Khirbet Al-Adas, Al-Jineina neighborhood, Al-Mashrou', Al-Shawka, and Qishta neighborhood areas and some neighborhoods in the city center, numbering about 100,000 people.
