Rehabilitating the Al-Uroubi Rainwater Collection Basin in Al-Fukhari and the Conveyance Line to the Sha'at Basin in Khan Younis

CMWU, funded by Save the Children ($85,000), is rehabilitating the Al-Uroubi basin in Al-Fukhari and the conveyance line to the Sha'at basin in Khan Younis, serving 40,000 residents.

CMWU, funded by Save the Children, has begun implementing the project to rehabilitate the "Al-Uroubi" rainwater collection basin in Al-Fukhari town and rehabilitate the conveyance line leading to the "Sha'at" basin in Khan Younis city, in cooperation with Khan Younis and Al-Fukhari municipalities.

The project includes rehabilitating those basins and increasing their filtration capacity in order to achieve optimal benefit from rainwater and inject it into the groundwater aquifer, in addition to strengthening the rainwater drainage system and protecting residents from the risks of flooding, especially in the winter season, with the project's value reaching $85,000, serving about 40,000 residents.
