CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, maintained the Nablus well in Nuseirat and the East Sawarha well in Al-Zawayda to strengthen water supply in the central area.
CMWU carried out maintenance and rehabilitation works on a number of vital water wells in the central area of the Gaza Strip, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the sustainability of water services and improve their quality for citizens.
The works included maintaining the Nablus well in Nuseirat camp, which serves about 8,000 residents of the areas surrounding the southern Nuseirat cemetery, alongside the East Sawarha well in Al-Zawayda, central Gaza Strip, where a set of necessary technical interventions were carried out to ensure the wells' operational efficiency and improve their production capacity, contributing to meeting residents' water needs, particularly given the current conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
