CMWU, funded by UNICEF, maintained the pressure transmission line for the Al-Husseiniya station in Nuseirat, which serves over 100,000 people.
As part of the water and sanitation line maintenance project funded by UNICEF, CMWU, in cooperation with Nuseirat Municipality, carried out maintenance on the pressure transmission line for the Al-Husseiniya sewage pumping station, with a diameter of 14 inches at a depth of 6.5 meters, where a major health hazard had formed in the area as a result of the damage sustained by the transmission line.
It is worth noting that the Al-Husseiniya sewage pumping station currently serves more than 100,000 residents and displaced persons.
As part of this project's works, the water utility also carried out maintenance and extension of sanitation lines on the main Nuseirat Street, to solve the sewage overflow problem the camp's residents suffer from as a result of the destruction of sanitation network lines.
