CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, maintained the main Al-Safa 1 well in Gaza after its pump suddenly stopped.
CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Gaza Municipality, carried out urgent maintenance on the main Al-Safa 1 well, intervening to maintain and rehabilitate the well's pump after it suddenly stopped as a result of pump damage. The Al-Safa 1 well is one of the important wells feeding Gaza City and cannot be dispensed with.
These efforts are part of ongoing efforts to rehabilitate water facilities that were severely damaged during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has worsened the crisis of delivering water to citizens and displaced persons.
