Gaza – CMWU

As part of the emergency repair and maintenance project linked to combating the coronavirus, implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the German development organization GIZ, CMWU supplied all water wells and sources in the Gaza Strip with sodium hypochlorite, aiming to chlorinate and disinfect drinking water to protect it from contamination during transport and distribution in the networks spread across all areas of the Gaza Strip, particularly amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It is worth noting that CMWU periodically disinfects all water wells and sources in the Strip, funded by numerous relief organizations working in the water and sanitation field in the Gaza Strip.

The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility has supplied all wells and water sources in the Gaza Strip with sodium hypochlorite, with the aim of sterilizing drinking water to protect it from pollution during transportation and distribution in networks spread throughout the Gaza Strip.

This comes within the framework of the emergency repair and maintenance project related to fighting against the Coronavirus, which is implemented by the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility upon an agreement signed with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
