CMWU Receives Water Tankers and Sewage Vacuum Trucks
CMWU received four water tankers, in addition to two trucks dedicated to pumping out sewage, to be handed over to the Union of Local Authorities, with support from the United Arab Emirates through Operation Al-Fares Al-Shahm 3.
The supply of these tankers and trucks comes at a time when the suffering of residents and displaced persons in obtaining drinking water is worsening, in addition to the great need for trucks dedicated to pumping out sewage as a result of sanitation networks being subjected to continuous bombardment, causing sewage to overflow in public places and streets, which leads to the formation of health and environmental hazards that harm and negatively affect residents.
In this context, CMWU highly valued the efforts and this continued support provided by the United Arab Emirates through Operation Al-Fares Al-Shahm 3, which has had a positive impact in easing the suffering of residents and displaced persons amid the continuing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that the water utility had previously received a number of water tankers with support from the United Arab Emirates, which effectively contributed to delivering drinking water to many shelter centers in various areas of the central and southern Strip.
