CMWU Receives a Study Trip Organized by the Engineers Association's Gaza Branch to the Central Treatment Plant and the Desalination Plant in the Central Governorate

As part of the scientific cooperation between CMWU and the various engineering professional associations, CMWU received a study trip organized by the Engineers Association "Gaza Branch" for a number of engineers to the Central treatment plant and the desalination plant in the Central Governorate.
The trip's first stop was a visit to the Central treatment plant east of Al-Bureij camp, with the participants in the study trip received by Eng. Ahmed Abu Shaqfa, Deputy Director of the treatment plant, Eng. Hashem Taha, Chief Operations and Maintenance Engineer, and Eng. Hossam Badawi, representative of the consulting company coalition Dorsch.
This visit included a field tour inside the treatment plant, in addition to a detailed explanation of the plant's various components and parts and its operating mechanism for the engineers participating in the trip.
It is worth noting that the Central treatment plant is considered one of the most important strategic projects in the homeland's governorates, which CMWU supervised the implementation of, as the plant is the largest at the Palestine level and relies on the latest technology in the treatment process.
The trip then headed to the seawater desalination plant in Deir al-Balah city, where the participants in the study trip were received by Eng. Mahmoud Al-Hams, Director of the desalination plant, and Eng. Ahmed Al-Rubaie, the plant's operations director. Eng. Ahmed Al-Rubaie gave a detailed explanation of the plant's various parts and the water desalination process, explaining the stages it goes through and the most important challenges facing the continuation of the plant's operation, the most important of which is the availability of electrical power.
In turn, Eng. Adham Al-Jaro, a Board member of the Engineers Association's Gaza branch, thanked CMWU for the warm reception and the efforts it exerts for the success of the various study trips.
It is worth noting that CMWU attaches great importance to study trips aiming to develop the capabilities and skills of engineering cadres in the Gaza Strip, with CMWU receiving numerous study trips throughout the year to the various water and sanitation facilities it manages in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
