CMWU Receives a Field Trip for Engineering Students at the Islamic University

CMWU received a field trip organized by the Faculty of Engineering at the Islamic University for a number of graduate students, at the Central Sewage Treatment Plant east of the Central Governorate, where they were received by the plant's Deputy Director Eng. Ahmed Abu Shaqfa and Chief Maintenance and Operations Engineer Eng. Hashem Taha, and the plant's operating technical staff.
This visit included a field tour inside the treatment plant, in addition to a detailed explanation of the plant's various components and parts and its working mechanism, for the engineers participating in the trip.
It is worth noting that the Central Treatment Plant is considered one of the most important strategic projects in the nation's governorates, overseen by CMWU, as the plant is the largest in Palestine and relies on the latest technology in sewage treatment and biogas power generation.
In turn, Dr. Hossam Al-Najjar, lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering at the Islamic University and supervisor of this field trip, thanked CMWU for its warm reception and the efforts it makes for the success of the various field trips.
It is worth noting that CMWU places great importance on field trips aimed at developing the capacities and skills of engineering crews in the Gaza Strip, in addition to spreading public awareness about the importance and means of protecting the Palestinian environment, as CMWU receives, throughout the year, numerous field trips from school, institute, and university students at the water and sanitation facilities it manages in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
