As part of its preparations to work during emergency situations, CMWU, during the past few months and funded by UNICEF, supplied spare parts for water and sanitation networks to CMWU's warehouses, for use during emergency situations that the Gaza Strip might experience for various reasons.
Amid the imposition of the curfew in the Gaza Strip and the declaration of the state of emergency, CMWU began using those spare parts in maintenance works for water and sanitation networks in all areas of the Gaza Strip, in order to ensure the continued provision of water and sanitation services to residents and prevent the formation of health hazards harmful to residents.
In this context, CMWU thanked UNICEF for its urgent response and its approval to use those materials in various maintenance works for all water and sanitation networks, in addition to its continuous support, which contributes to easing residents' suffering, particularly amid the difficult conditions the Strip's residents are going through.
