CMWU Continues Implementing the First Phase Emergency Reconstruction Project of the Sanitation System in Khan Younis City
CMWU, funded by UNICEF, continues implementing the first phase emergency reconstruction project of the sanitation system in Khan Younis city, southern Gaza Strip, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality.
The first phase of this plan includes repairing the damaged pumping stations and their pressure lines. It is worth noting that the stations damaged by the Israeli occupation's ground operation are 6 stations: Al-Wafiya, Hisbat Al-Samak, Hamad, Al-Mujadala, Al-Maqaber, and Al-Qatatwa, in addition to damage to their pressure lines. This phase also includes assessing the gravity lines leading to these stations, with the gravity lines to be repaired in the coming phases.
It is worth noting that the tender for the second phase of repairing the sanitation system in Khan Younis city has been issued, funded by UNICEF.
