CMWU Distributes Chlorine Solution to Sewage Treatment Plants
Gaza / CMWU
Funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, CMWU began a chlorine solution distribution program for sewage treatment plants spread across all governorates of the Gaza Strip, as part of CMWU's efforts and continuous measures to protect the crews working at water and sanitation facilities amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the same context, the International Committee of the Red Cross supported CMWU by funding the purchase of mobile pumps for use in facility disinfection operations.
This program comes as part of CMWU's continued efforts to confront the coronavirus, with CMWU's crews having previously disinfected sewage treatment plants and all desalination plants in various governorates of the Strip and distributed protective tools and clothing and numerous disinfection materials to the crews working at the Strip's municipalities.
