Gaza / CMWU
CMWU's crews affiliated with its regional headquarters, funded by the Norwegian Refugee Council "NRC", cleaned "Al-Nujaili" rainwater collection basin in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to clean the basin of debris and sediment and prepare it to receive the winter season, which leads to raising the efficiency of the rainwater drainage system in Rafah governorate, as that basin is considered a fundamental component of the rainwater drainage system in Rafah.
It is worth noting that CMWU had, during the past few weeks and months and as part of its winter season preparedness program, carried out numerous procedures and works aiming to strengthen the rainwater drainage and sanitation system in the Gaza Strip, with CMWU having carried out maintenance on numerous sewage pumping and treatment stations and maintained water and sanitation vehicles affiliated with the Strip's various municipalities, in addition to implementing numerous rainwater projects and rehabilitating and developing numerous rainwater collection basins in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
