CMWU Connects the European Hospital to the Sewage Network

CMWU, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, connected Gaza European Hospital, south of the Gaza Strip, to the sewage network, with CMWU supplying and installing 800 meters of pipes and connecting the hospital's sewage network to pumping station "8" located in Khan Younis city, in addition to rehabilitating the hospital's own treatment plant, and at the same time the Utility's specialized crews are taking samples from the treatment plant's outlet in order to test the quality of the sewage water discharged by the hospital's various departments.
In this context, CMWU's Director-General Eng. Monther Shoblaq said that "CMWU's intervention came at the request of the Ministry of Health and the International Committee of the Red Cross and in response to the declared state of emergency," affirming the necessity for the Ministry of Health to seek funding to construct a sewage treatment unit inside the hospital at the earliest possible opportunity.
