CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on the Main Sewage Line on Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street in Rafah

As part of the works of the "Strengthening the Capacity of Vulnerable Communities to Prepare for Flood Risks During the Winter Season" project funded by the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" through the Norwegian Refugee Council, CMWU carried out maintenance on the main sewage line on Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, in addition to replacing the old line with another line.
It is worth noting that this line was damaged during the recent Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which led to continuous sewage overflow in that area, causing numerous environmental problems for its residents.
This project comes as part of CMWU's efforts to rehabilitate water and sanitation facilities in all areas of the Gaza Strip, with this project including a series of works aiming to develop and maintain sewage and rainwater networks in various areas.
