CMWU Provides Emergency Services to the Strip's Municipalities

CMWU has managed to provide emergency services to numerous municipalities to help confront the problems that may result from a weather depression, especially amid the continuous electricity outage, which may worsen due to bad weather conditions. In this regard, CMWU supplied Khan Younis, Rafah, Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun municipalities with generator spare parts, including oils, filters, and batteries, to carry out the necessary maintenance for the generators available to them and use them in emergencies.
A mobile generator with a capacity of 110 KVA, along with a mobile fuel tank with a capacity of 2,000 liters, was also disbursed to Rafah Municipality and Deir al-Balah Municipality for use in emergencies, in addition to another generator in the Beit Lahia area, and another tank in Khuza'a and Khan Younis.
Within the framework of the emergency campaign followed by the Utility, a 500 KVA Caterpillar-type generator was supplied to Gaza Municipality and operated at Sheikh Radwan pond, with support from the Red Cross.
Since the beginning of the winter season, CMWU has been working to supply all the Strip's municipalities and their branch offices with the generators, pumps, and spare parts available to it, and distributing various quantities of diesel to operate that equipment so they can continue working to confront rainfall and ease the damage that may result from it.
As CMWU, in cooperation with the Strip's municipalities, affirms its readiness and preparedness to confront any crisis that may affect residents' lives or disrupt their daily work, it calls on donor institutions to continue providing all means to support and help the Utility confront the crises that may occur in the winter season, especially providing sufficient fuel to operate the generators in case the electricity outage continues, and wishes safety for all our residents in the Gaza Strip.
