In Cooperation with Rafah Municipality.. CMWU Carries Out Emergency Maintenance on the Solid Waste Sorting Station in Rafah Governorate

Gaza / CMWU

CMWU's crews affiliated with its regional headquarters in Rafah, in cooperation with Rafah Municipality, carried out emergency maintenance on the solid waste sorting station south of the Gaza Strip, with CMWU's crews carrying out comprehensive maintenance on that station's pumps, in addition to replacing their damaged parts and installing a barrier to prevent solid materials from entering those pumps, aiming to rehabilitate and bring it back into operation, as that station contributes significantly to preserving environmental cleanliness, by disposing of the quantities of waste piled up in random dumpsites, which are transferred to the main landfill.

This intervention comes in the context of the permanent cooperation between CMWU and all the Gaza Strip's municipalities, in order to ensure the continued provision of services to residents, particularly amid the coronavirus pandemic, with CMWU continuing to follow up on all emergency maintenance and operation requests for the Gaza Strip's various municipalities.
