Emergency maintenance of a number of water wells in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Nuseirat, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, to raise their efficiency ahead of summer.
CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on a Number of Water Wells in Various Areas of the Gaza Strip

CMWU, as part of the water wells maintenance project funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out emergency maintenance on Teca water well, which serves the towns of east Khan Younis 1, well 148, Teca 2 well, and Al-Safa well in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, in addition to the Qatari well in Al-Nasr town in Rafah and wells g46 and g56 in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip.
The maintenance works included fixing all the malfunctions present at those wells, aiming to raise their efficiency and improve the water supply service to residents in the areas benefiting from those wells, particularly amid the increased need for water during the summer season.
It is worth noting that this project aims primarily to contribute to strengthening the capacity of CMWU and the municipalities to provide their services to residents, particularly amid the difficult conditions and weak capabilities faced by water service providers in the Gaza Strip, and providing everything that works to improve water services, which leads to the continued supply of services to residents, particularly during emergencies.
