CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on Canada Reservoir in Rafah Governorate
Gaza / CMWU
As part of the works of the water and sanitation vehicles and facilities maintenance project funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, CMWU carried out emergency maintenance on Canada reservoir in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to improve the quantities of water pumped into the water network in that area, as that reservoir serves various areas of Rafah governorate.
In addition, CMWU's crews carried out maintenance on the water transmission line from the seawater desalination plant south of the Strip to Canada reservoir, with these interventions aiming to improve the water supplies provided to residents in the areas benefiting from Canada reservoir.
It is worth noting that CMWU's crews had, during the past few days and as part of the state of emergency declared in the Gaza Strip, carried out maintenance works affecting numerous water and sanitation facilities spread across all governorates of the Gaza Strip.
